• Contribute to community-generated datasets used to produce aggregated consumer insights.

Sinbad helps users check product identifiers against identifiers registered in the platform database and may display informational signals related to product identifier recognition where such data is available.

These capabilities contribute to:

• Post-sale product visibility
• Product safety monitoring
• Recall readiness support tools.

Sinbad does not manufacture, distribute, or sell products scanned within the application.

Sinbad does not provide medical advice, nutritional guidance, or product recommendations.

Sinbad relies on information provided by manufacturers, distributors, or infrastructure partners and does not independently guarantee product authenticity.

Sinbad does not evaluate, certify, or guarantee the safety, quality, regulatory compliance, or performance of products referenced within the platform.

Information presented within the platform should not be interpreted as confirmation of product safety, authenticity, or regulatory approval.

Refers to statistical analyses derived from multiple user submissions that cannot identify individual users.

Refers to manufacturers, distributors, brands, or other organizations that register product identifiers within the Sinbad system.

Sinbad does not independently verify product authenticity and relies on information provided by manufacturers or infrastructure partners. 

 6.  Product Usage Data 

Users may voluntarily record product usage observations including:

• Estimated daily consumption
• Estimated duration of product use
• Start date of use
• Finish date
• Whether the product was discontinued
• Optional product experience feedback
• Optional purchase price
• Optional purchase date.

Usage data:

• Is self-reported
• Is voluntary
• Is recorded after purchase and use.

Sinbad does not track real-time consumption or behavior. 

 7.  Product Experience Information 

Users may optionally submit observations such as:

• Taste preferences
• Perceived suitability.

These observations:

• Reflect individual user experiences
• Are not verified outcomes

 8.  Location Data During Scan 

If location permissions are granted, Sinbad may record approximate location at the time of a scan, including:

• Ward or equivalent level.

Location data is used only for:

• Regional analytics.

Sinbad does not perform continuous location tracking.

These analytical systems may be used to identify consumption trends, improve platform functionality, and generate analytical insights related to product usage and consumer behavior.

Model development relies on aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified datasets designed to prevent identification of individual users.

Any analytical models or machine learning systems developed by Sinbad constitute proprietary intellectual property of the platform.

13A. Recall Communication Disclaimer

Sinbad may provide infrastructure tools designed to support product recall readiness and recall communication capabilities.

However, Sinbad is not the official issuer of product recall notices and does not act as a regulatory authority.

Official recall announcements remain the responsibility of product manufacturers, distributors, importers, or competent regulatory authorities.

Sinbad does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of recall-related information that may appear on the platform. 

14.  Aggregated Insights 

Sinbad analyzes aggregated datasets derived from voluntary user participation.

Insights may include:

• Product usage duration
• Refill patterns
• Consumption behavior
• Regional usage trends.

Before inclusion in aggregated datasets, personal data is de-identified or processed in a manner that prevents identification of individual users.

Sinbad may generate aggregated datasets and analytical insights derived from platform activity, including product scans, voluntary user participation, and anonymized observation data.

Aggregated datasets and analytical outputs constitute proprietary analytical outputs of the Sinbad platform.

Aggregated insights cannot identify individual users.

Aggregated datasets may be used for:

Such aggregated datasets may be shared or licensed to:

Sinbad does not sell personal data.

Aggregated datasets and analytical models generated by Sinbad constitute proprietary analytical outputs of the platform.

Sinbad does not sell personal data. 

19.  Independence of Insights 

Insights are generated independently through statistical analysis.

Brands and commercial entities:

• Cannot control insights
• Cannot request suppression of aggregated results except where legally required.
 

20.  Data Sharing 

Sinbad may share limited information with:

These service providers act as data processors and process data only on behalf of Sinbad.

Such providers process personal data only for the purpose of delivering services to Sinbad and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes.

Sinbad may use trusted infrastructure providers such as cloud services.

These providers process data only:

• Under contractual data protection obligations
• According to instructions from Sinbad.

Sinbad does not build advertising profiles.
